Lunch at Via Stampa
I wanted to share with you all a hidden gem I was lucky enough to experience last month, on a recent visit to Milan staying with my good friend Olga, who also shares my passion for excellent food. We were both invited along as a guest to one of the city’s newest and most exciting contemporary bistro restaurants Via Stampa.
Tucked away in the heart of the city center, it seamlessly blends contemporary and traditional cuisine, serving comforting seasonal dishes.
Our 3-course lunch started with a delightful selection of cheeses and bread, paired with crisp white wine. The main course featured a comforting onion soup and Tagliolini with white fish tartare – both exceptional! * chefs kiss.
We concluded with a shared Bonet, a soft and rich dessert from Piedmont with amaretti and rum.
Upon entering, the restaurant was bathed in gorgeous natural light, boasting simple, modern, rustic decor with warm and inviting colors. The beautiful plates and glassware added character to the experience. The lighting was absolutely perfect for capturing the moment.
The service was amazing – friendly and relaxed. I honestly can’t wait to return to @viastampa_milano on my next visit to Milano!
If you find yourself in the city then I definitely recommend you pay them as visit!
